2018 Panini National Treasures Baseball Overview
The 2018 Panini National Treasures Baseball checklist covers multiple generations. It goes back to the game’s earliest days and moves forward to current rookies and prospects.
Rookie Material Signatures return with on-card autographs and over-sized swatches. Shohei Ohtani, Ronald Acuna, Juan Soto, Gleyber Torres, Ozzie Albies and Rhys Hoskins are among the players in this part of the set.
More ink from baseball’s next generation are spread across Rookie Triple Material Ink, Rookie Signature Jumbo Material Booklet, and Rookie Signatures. They’re also in other parts of National Treasures that mix in veterans.
Additional hard autographs are in Signatures Names, which use letter-shaped windows to display material, and Signature Jumbo Die-Cut Bat.
The autograph checklist gets even bigger with Game Gear Signatures, Signature Names, Hall of Fame Signatures, Century Materials Signatures and Stars and Stripes Signatures.
Being that 2018 Panini National Treasures Baseball is one of the most premium offerings in the company’s portfolio, the inclusion of some unique memorabilia pieces shouldn’t come as a surprise. These include bat barrel nameplates and ID tags taken from gear. Something that isn’t in a lot of sets, cleats, are also among the memorabilia available in the product.
Those collecting memorabilia can also find swatches and relics in Remarkable Rarities, Game Gear, Century Materials, Hall of Fame Materials, and Colossal Rookie Materials.
Book cards come in a variety of forms in 2018 Panini National Treasures Baseball. The biggest, a one-of-a-kind card that has Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig on the same cut signature piece. It’s flanked on both sides by a pair of pieces from both legends.
New Legendary Lineups Booklets bring together memorabilia from nine all-time greats and spreads them over three panels. Swatches on these cards aren’t exactly small, either.
Other booklet themes making their National Treasures Baseball debut are Quad Signatures, Six Signatures, New York Row and Franchise Lineups.
