Marcia Carole Gladwish passed into heaven on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Evergreen Health Hospice Care in Kirkland, Washington.

Marcia was born on September 16, 1953 in Mason City, Iowa. She grew up with two brothers, Marc and David and lived in Park Forest and Chicago Heights, IL. Marcia graduated from Wilbur Lynch High School in Amsterdam, NY in 1971. She attended Sweet Briar College where she double majored in Political Science and Visual Art in 1975. Later, she earned a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Visual Art from Stony Brook University. She raised four daughters while working as a teacher and artist in New York and Washington.

Her life was transformed by the presentation of the gospel at a Campus Crusade meeting when she was a junior in college. She accepted God’s offered gift of salvation with joyful relief, and sharing that good news with others became her lifelong passion. Later in life, she found her true calling when she was able to use art to connect with hurting women across the globe and point all who would listen to Jesus and his love. She founded The Creative Call (www.thecreativecall.net) as an organization to minister to women locally and internationally by helping them to tell their stories visually and artistically.

Her battle with cancer became another platform to show how God had transformed her life. Her frequent “grace sightings” through her illness inspired and encouraged many others who were undergoing difficulties, even many who never met her in person.

Marcia is survived and celebrated by her father, Don Thomas, her four daughters, Annie, Katie, Liz, and Virginia, her sons-in-law, Josh, Eric, Ryan, and Jered, her grandsons, Micah, Caleb, Calvin, RJ, and Will, her granddaughter, Juliana, her brothers, Marc and David, and her sisters-in-law Judi and Nancy, as well as many beloved friends around the world.

2018 Panini National Treasures Baseball Overview

The 2018 Panini National Treasures Baseball checklist covers multiple generations. It goes back to the game’s earliest days and moves forward to current rookies and prospects.

Rookie Material Signatures return with on-card autographs and over-sized swatches. Shohei Ohtani, Ronald Acuna, Juan Soto, Gleyber Torres, Ozzie Albies and Rhys Hoskins are among the players in this part of the set.

More ink from baseball’s next generation are spread across Rookie Triple Material Ink, Rookie Signature Jumbo Material Booklet, and Rookie Signatures. They’re also in other parts of National Treasures that mix in veterans.

Additional hard autographs are in Signatures Names, which use letter-shaped windows to display material, and Signature Jumbo Die-Cut Bat.

The autograph checklist gets even bigger with Game Gear Signatures, Signature Names, Hall of Fame Signatures, Century Materials Signatures and Stars and Stripes Signatures.

Being that 2018 Panini National Treasures Baseball is one of the most premium offerings in the company’s portfolio, the inclusion of some unique memorabilia pieces shouldn’t come as a surprise. These include bat barrel nameplates and ID tags taken from gear. Something that isn’t in a lot of sets, cleats, are also among the memorabilia available in the product.

Those collecting memorabilia can also find swatches and relics in Remarkable Rarities, Game Gear, Century Materials, Hall of Fame Materials, and Colossal Rookie Materials.

Book cards come in a variety of forms in 2018 Panini National Treasures Baseball. The biggest, a one-of-a-kind card that has Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig on the same cut signature piece. It’s flanked on both sides by a pair of pieces from both legends.

New Legendary Lineups Booklets bring together memorabilia from nine all-time greats and spreads them over three panels. Swatches on these cards aren’t exactly small, either.

Other booklet themes making their National Treasures Baseball debut are Quad Signatures, Six Signatures, New York Row and Franchise Lineups.
